Company History

Drywall Master was founded by Larry D’Souza, a seasoned veteran in the automatic taping and finishing industry. Prior to establishing Drywall Master, Larry and his partners pioneered the industry by introducing one of the first comprehensive sets of automatic taping tools. Between 1980 and 1987, our business grew from a small company to an international presence, with dealers across four continents representing the majority of the industrialized world. One of our key design engineers, Robert "Johnny" Payne, brings extensive experience from his time at Ames Taping Tools, where he worked closely with industry legends Stan and Bob Ames to develop some of the very first Taping Tools.

Our design engineers and technical staff have invested years in researching manufacturing techniques and conducting field tests to gather performance data for our tools. The feedback we have received from these tests has been overwhelmingly positive. Rest assured, our tools are built to last an average of 10 years or more with regular maintenance.
